6th appearance of Ma-Durga is known as 'Katyayani'. Rishi named kat had a son named katya & in this family world famous katyayan rishi saint was born. He penance toughly for birth of Ma- Jagdamba as a daughter inhis hom. Ma accepted it & when devils harrash very much then Brahma, Vishnu, & Mahesh give their partial incarnation & Devi was born. She decapited Mahisasur.
To get Krishna as a husband gopis worship Ma Katryayani as Vraj. So she is established as the Queen of Vraj, Her skin is like gold & she has 4 hands.
She is worshiped on 6th day of Navratri. Yoga expert penance on Agya chakra on this day. Human offer everything to Ma while worshipping on this day. She gives blessing to her devoter.
